Most crane and hoist manufacturers offer standard headroom monorail hoists above 12 or 15 tonnes but by incorporating a double trolley design Street offer low headroom construction in capacities up to 25 tonnes. Each trolley runs on four flangeless wheels with guide rollers and a reaction roller obviates the need for a counterweight thus reducing the wheel loads. This construction provides a higher top hook position in a restricted headroom compared to a standard headroom hoist.
